Guelph Township Horticultural Society to host bird feeder workshop, fall show

Fall is on its way, but don’t put away the gardening tools just yet.

On Sept. 8 at 7pm, the Guelph Township Youth Horticulturists will meet to make bird feeders out of old coffee cans.

This will take place at the pavilion behind the Marden Library at 7368 Wellington Road 30. For more information call the leader at 519-836-9535.

On Sept. 15 at 7:30pm the Guelph Township Horticultural Society will host the fall flower and vegetable show at the Marden Community Centre.

Dr. R.L. Peterson will speak on the fascinating biology of orchids. Copies of his book When Is a Flower, not a Flower will be available (payment can be made by cash or cheque).

Refreshments will also be available.

This is a change from past years, as there will be no show in October.

Bring entries in to the Marden Community Centre from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
