Guelph South Rotary bringing back pasta dinner fundraiser

PUSLINCH – The Rotary Club of South Guelph is bringing back its Taste of Italy fundraiser for the 19th year after having to pause this popular event during the pandemic.

“This social gathering has always had strong support from our community and raises much needed funds for Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre, and other important community Rotary projects,” organizers state in a press release.

The event is slated for Feb. 10 at the Puslinch Community Centre.

Doors open at 5:30pm and dinner is served at 6pm.

Along with food and a cash bar, there will be a 50/50 draw, games and door prizes.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children aged 5 to 12, and $10 for children under 5.

Sunrise is the primary benefactor of the fundraiser and funds will be used to support four of its programs:

– year-round therapeutic riding program for children and adults with special needs;

– two inclusive day camps in July and August;

– Equine Assisted Learning program; and

– Life Skills program for young adults with cognitive disabilities.

Organizers thanked the many local businesses, corporations and individuals who donate prizes and sponsor tables.

This support allows the club to support so many local causes.

“We look forward to coming together again this year, to spend time with family, friends, neighbours and Rotarians  from the other three Guelph Rotary clubs,” they state.
