Guelph Little Theatre ready to stage An Inappropriate Claus

GUELPH – Santa has found himself in a lot of hot water because he has not gotten with the times. Imagine being concerned because he watches while you’re sleeping or puts your name on a list! Who cares if he discriminates and only brings toys to “good” girls and boys? And speaking of toys, whom does it hurt if he brings dolls to girls and sports equipment to boys?

Citizens of Tinsel town are up in arms over Santa’s blatant miscues and are demanding that Christmas be cancelled. Meanwhile, Christmas Fairy is beside himself trying to keep the holiday alive.

That’s the gist of Guelph Little Theatre’s fun-filled family show with pantomime overtones, An Inappropriate Claus.

Written by local playwright Roxanne Thornton, the show is is due to open at 176 Morris Street on Dec. 3 at 7 pm.

In addition to Friday and Saturday evening performances there are also Saturday and Sunday matinees (2pm).

Veteran directors Cathy Goudie and Ken Cameron have been busy, along with their vast array of character actors, to bring this audience participation show to life.

Tickets are $5 and $10 and are available through the box office online at or 519-821-0270.
