Guelph/Eramosa, Erin close facilities in wake of provincial restrictions

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – In response to the Ontario government moving to a modified version of step two of the province’s Roadmap to Reopen, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa will be temporarily closing all municipal facilities.

“We will be temporarily closing the Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre (RDAPC), the Rockmosa Older Adult Centre and cancelling all municipal recreation programs,” stated a Jan. 5 update on the township’s website.

“Facilities will reopen and programming will resume at the direction of the province.”

To contact staff directly with questions or concerns, township officials ask that residents contact dnichol@get.on.ca, or the RDAPC at 519-265-7905.

The township’s municipal office, located at 8348 Wellington Road 124, will also remain closed to the public until further notice.

However, officials note staff are present in the building and available via phone and e-mail to assist members of the public. There will be no staff-public interactions.

In addition, all township council and committee meetings are currently being held electronically through video conference on Zoom until further notice.

Any changes and updates will be posted to the township’s website at https://www.get.on.ca/news.
