Guelph-Eramosa announces COVID-19 closures, cancellations

BRUCEDALE – Guelph-Eramosa has implemented measures as a precaution to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Caution signs and information have been posted on all township buildings and facilities.

“This is not an attempt to limit anyone’s access to public facilities but a proactive approach to do our part in ensuring that our community remains safe and healthy,” township officials stated in a press release.

As of March 13, The Rockmosa Older Adult Centre is closed and all Older Adult Programs have been suspended until at least April 6.

The Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre remains open but all township run programs have been suspended until at least April 6.

All other township facilities are currently open and programming will continue to run as scheduled until further notice.

All regularly scheduled council and committee meetings will occur, unless otherwise noted.

Township clerk Amanda Knight noted staff will meet again on March 16 to assess the situation.

She noted township will continue to monitor the situation and update its website as new information becomes available.
