Erin extends facility closures to May 31

ERIN – The Town of Erin is extending the closure of all its municipal facilities until May 31.

The closures, announced by the town on March 30, include recreation facilities, parks, playgrounds, skate parks, sports fields and town hall.

“Your council and town staff are continuing to adapt to this rapidly changing situation and respond accordingly,” states a town press release.

“During the extended closure, the town will continue to offer essential municipal services, and ensure the needs of the community are continuing to be met.”

Mapleton and Puslinch townships announced on March 30 they would be extending municipal closures until April 30.

Erin officials are reminding residents town staff members are available via email or telephone (519-855-4407 or communications@erin.ca). They also offer the following tips:

  • taxes and water payments can be paid through financial institutions, by sending an e-transfer to epayments@erin.ca, or by calling 519-855-4407 Ext. 226;
  • burn permits can be filled out online, with payment submitted via email or phone;
  • dog tags can be obtained online; and
  • there is a secure 24/7 drop-box at town hall.
