EquiChallenge set for Aug. 26

On Aug. 26, from 6 to 10pm, the Equine Guelph and the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) will present the 2010 Equi-Challenge at Halton Place in Halton Hills.

The event features experts in various horse fields “trading hats and horses” in support of equine research.

For example, show jumpers could take part in barrel racing, jockeys in show jumping and rodeo riders in polo.

Hats will be flying during what event officials call “an evening of unparalleled entertainment,” as world class riders from show jumping, dressage, racing, polo, driving and barrel racing team up for “the equine event of the season.”

Organizers invite everyone to eat, drink and cheer for their team from the ringside VIP tent while enjoying what champion show jumper Ian Millar has called “a fantastic event.”

Tickets are $185 per person and patron and corporate tables of 10 are $3,000 (with tax receipts).

Proceeds will benefit the new OVC Equine Sports Medicine and Reproduction Centre.
