Play – The GrandWay Event Centre in Elora hosted a dinner theatre for the Elora Community Theatre which presented the play Sweet Delilah Swim Club on Jan. 27 with more performances to come Feb. 2 to 5. The performance pulled both delighted and dismayed reactions from the audience as the play followed the lives of five women from their younger years in a swim club, throughout their visits to a cottage in North Carolina on the Atlantic Ocean each August for more than 50 years. Everything from men, sex and marriage, to parenting, divorce and ultimately, death, was discussed. This photo shows four of the characters in later life, with the remaining character having passed away (their ashes are to spread in the ocean).
