Drayton Entertainment presents The Sweet Delilah Swim Club at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse

ST. JACOBS – Drayton Entertainment is presenting The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, on stage at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse from July 27 to Aug. 13.

Set in North Carolina, The Sweet Delilah Swim Club follows the hilarious lives of five Southern women who met years ago on their college swim team. Every summer, the women set aside a long weekend to reminisce and reconnect, free from husbands, kids and jobs.

“[The Sweet Delilah Swim Club] is smart, touching and above all else, very funny,” says Alex Mustakas, artistic director of Drayton Entertainment.

“The relatable characters and witty banter provide a fresh perspective on the journey through life, and the value of friendship.”

Canadian actress Sheila McCarthy will be joined by set designer Kelly Wolf, costume designer Julia Holbert, lighting designer Soibhan Sleath, stage manager Jasmyne Leisemer, and assistant stage manager Amber Archbell. Marcia Tratt plays Sheree Hollinger, with Barbara Fulton as Dinah Grayson,   Cara Hunter as Lexie Richards, Karen Wood as Jeri Neal McFeeley  and Mary Pitt as Vernadette Simms.

The production will go on to play at the Huron Country Playhouse’s South Huron Stage in Grand Bend from Aug. 18 to Sept. 4.
