Darts contender

Tyler Hergott, of Drayton, a member of the Guelph youth dart league, has again made the youth Darts Ontario team. He competed in the zone qualifier on Jan. 20, where he finished first in doubles and singles. This advanced him to compete in the Ontario championships March 8 to 10. Hergott and his partner finished in the top 16 in doubles, and he went on to finish second in Ontario in the senior boys division, receiving a spot as a member of Team Ontario. Hergott will be representing Ontario at the National Dart Championships in Saskatoon May 16 to 19. The team consists of eight members; the top two senior and top two junior girls and the top two senior and top two junior boys across Ontario. The team will travel to compete against the other provinces for the Canada Cup. He will also play in the Youth World Cup qualifier and the Youth World Masters qualifier. Submitted photo
