Dana Dobbie helps lacrosse team win championship

SPARKS, Md. – Centre Wellington native Dana Dobbie has helped lead her team Brave to a late comeback and a WPLL (Women’s Professional Lacrosse League) championship, 13-12, over team Fight on July 28 at U.S. Lacrosse’s Tierney Field.

She has achieved many successes in lacrosse, but a high-level championship has been elusive.

At Maryland, where she played her final two college seasons, she set records for draw controls.

Dobbie has won two silvers and a bronze for the Canadian senior national team, but not yet a gold.
