CW Community Dinner Project raises almost $2,000

Fundraiser – The Centre Wellington District High School Social Justice class raised almost $2,000 for Kids Help Phone South Western Ontario through donations received at the Dec. 11 CW Community Dinner Project. Class representatives state, “As young people we know, more than most, that our community has been impacted by a number of suicides in the few years.  CW has a suicide rate which is more than twice the national average. We also know that there are serious gaps in mental health services for us. Supporting 24-hour services – like Kids Help Phone – ensures that young people have the opportunity to reach out, anytime, when they need some help.” The CW Community Dinner Project served over 200 meals and raised almost $2,000.  Submitted photo
