County libraries move to curbside pickup only on Dec. 23

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Due to a massive spike in local COVID-19 cases, starting Dec. 23 all libraries in Wellington County will offer only curbside pick-up service.

“To arrange a pick-up time, please contact your local library branch,” states a Dec. 21 press release from the county.

“All drop boxes will remain open to return borrowed items. In-branch computer appointments can still be made by calling your local branch.”

County spokesperson Andrea Ravensdale told the Advertiser the move to curbside pickup is due to rising cases of COVID-19 in the county and it will be in place until further notice.

“We will continue to monitor the local COVID situation closely,” she stated in an email.

Officials say library staff “are still happy to assist with printing your vaccination QR codes free of charge.”
