FERGUS - Jester’s Fun Factory is at it again.

The Fergus toy and game store is in the midst of putting together the world’s largest mass-produced jigsaw puzzle.

The puzzle contains 42,000 pieces and will be 24 feet long. This year’s theme is “Around the World.”

Store co-owner Evelyn Gould said the public is welcome to come to the store during regular business hours and put some of the puzzle together.

“They can take a trip with us around the world,” she said.

Gould is encouraging those coming to help with the puzzle to bring a donation for the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

“We were successful at raising donations for the food bank when we did our last puzzle challenge and we are hoping that generosity will continue,” Gould said.

“If you forget to bring in a non-perishable food item you can always make a small cash donation if you feel you are able to do so.”

The puzzle features landmarks and monuments from various countries. The first of seven panels contains the CN Tower from Toronto. There are 6,000 puzzle pieces per bag.

Puzzle construction at the store began on Jan. 2 and Gould said she’s hoping the construction will take about four months. The Fergus toy shop built an 18-foot, 32,000-piece puzzle three years ago, and with the help of about 400 customers, it was completed in four months.

Weekly updates will be posted on the Jester’s Fun Factory Facebook page.
