Clifford woman writes children”™s book

Connie Murray of Clifford has written a book for children called Nana Murray Has A Farm.

On a Facebook page promoting the book, Murray states she has always had a passion for writing and wanted to become a mystery writer while growing up. It wasn’t until her first grandchild Caden came along that she found the love of writing children’s stories and it was only natural that her grandchild would become the star of her book. The illustrations are by Mark D. Mullen.

Nana Murray Has A Farm is the first of a planned series of adventures with Caden and the many animals on Nana Murray’s farm.

Murray grew up on a dairy farm in rural southern Ontario.  She loved helping her dad look after the animals and doing the chores. As a child she spent as much time as possible playing in the barn with her siblings making forts in the hay, tending to the many farm animals and family pets. Her favourite was playing with the puppies.

Born in Palmerston, Murray now lives in Clifford with her husband Grant. She dreams of one day of returning to the country and owning a small hobby farm. She recently challenged the Town of Minto’s exotic animals by-law and has a start on that hobby farm with a few laying hens.
