Christmas tree stolen from Fergus business

FERGUS – A holiday theft has occurred here.

On Nov. 14 at 9:17pm surveillance footage at a business on St. David Street North in Fergus, showed a suspect unplugging a Christmas tree that was on display behind the electronic drive-thru display.

The suspect then fled on foot taking the tree with them.

The Wellington County OPP received the theft report on Nov. 17

The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, grey/white balding hair, average build and wearing dark pants, grey/blue plaid jacket, brown boots and glasses.

OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
