SOUTHGATE – More than a year after she was reported missing, Monica Chisar’s remains were discovered in a wooded area just north of Mount Forest. She was just 29 years old. A 19-month investigation led detectives to Hamilton, and a Kosovo expat on the run from U.S. authorities.

Whooping cough cases up significantly: WDGPH

WELLINGTON COUNTY – There have been 33 confirmed cases of whooping cough so far in Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph this year, according to the local public health authority.

GUELPH – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) associate medical officer of health Dr. Matthew Tenenbaum advises everyone eligible get vaccinated against mpox, but said “we are not in a place where people need to be worried.”

Town of Erin to spend $20,000 on ‘brand refresh’ project

ERIN – Officials here will be spending about $20,000 on what they are calling a "brand refresh" for the town. The municipality announced the project in a press release on Sept. 4.
