On Sept. 27 cyclists and hikers of all ages will gather across from the proposed “Hidden Quarry” site at Hwy. 7 and 5th Line Nassagaweya (System Fencing parking lot) at 9:30am.
From here they will take to the roads and trails in the region to raise funds for the Concerned Residents Coalition (CRC), the grassroots organization which is assessing the potential negative impacts of the proposed quarry.
Participants may pay a registration fee or get sponsors to donate in their names.
This ride will go by the Blue Springs Creek and Eramosa River Valley, which are magnets to bikers from all over Ontario.
Bikers can choose from three route lengths (10, 25 or 40kms) – all of them going south into rural Milton (Nassagaweya) along 5th Line and over Blue Springs Creek, and ending at Eden Mills on the Eramosa River in Guelph-Eramosa Township before following Indian Trail to the starting point.
Hikers will join the old Guelph Radial Trail Line on 5th Line Nassagaweya half a kilometre south of Highway 7.

There is free registration with sponsorships. Without sponsorship adults pay $25 and children 12 and under pay $10.
