Benjamins elected to Growmark board

Ed Benjamins, of Moorefield, was elected to serve a second term as director on the Growmark board at the regional co-operative’s annual meeting here on Sept. 5.

Benjamins will serve a three-year term to represent Zone F on the board. He and his wife, Gina, operate a chicken farm and a 1,000-acre custom work and cash crop family farm.

Five of the association’s 16 director seats, established by geographic zone, were elected, and will serve three-year terms. Growmark’s six established governance zones cover all of North America; there are multiple directors per zone. Growmark is affiliated with Farm Bureau in those states.
