National Smile Cookie campaign raises $10.6 million

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Tim Hortons owners and millions of Canadians recently helped set a new Smile Cookie record by raising $10.56 million for local charities across the country.

This year in Dufferin, Wellington and Guelph, participating Tim Hortons owners and guests helped raise $111,023 to support the Children’s Foundation Food and Friends Program.

Local Tim Hortons have been supporting Food and Friends for 20 years, raising over $885,000. The funds will be used to bring healthy food to hungry minds.

“The Smile Cookie campaign… has gone above and beyond,” said Food and Friends program director Anita Macfarlane in a press release.

“To raise over $111,000 for our Food and Friends Programs during these times of uncertainty is astonishing.”

Tim Hortons restaurant owners will present Smile Cookie cheques over the next month.
