NODWELL, George “Howard”, Passed away Sunday October 23, 2016 at the Georgetown Hospital in his 86th year. George was the beloved husband of the late Edna Cox (2008), loving father of Evelyn (Oliver), Betty (Louis) and Wayne (Denise). George will be remembered by his brothers Harvey and Allen Nodwell and sisters Helen McPherson, Myrtle Cutting, Wilma MacDonald, Florence Overland, Marie Hurd and Laura Cook. George is predeceased by his parents Robert Harvey Nodwell and Mary Evelyn Brown, brothers Elgin Brown, Robert, John and Gordon Nodwell and sisters Eva Geard, Rosa Lyness and Mildred Beirnes. George will be sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. Friends were invited to Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main Street, South, Erin on Tuesday October 25, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Huxley Cemetery, Hillsburgh.
