Curtis, Edward John; After a long battle with cancer at Palmerston and District Hospital, Palmerston on Sunday September 23, 2012 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Joyce Curtis of Arthur. Dear father of Catherine (Doug) Stapley of Colborne , Mike Curtis of B.C., Bernadette Chatten of Dundonald, Peter Curtis of Pickering, Mary Grace Curtis of Innisfield, Alb. and Colleen (Carl) Baggaley of Woodview. Loving papa of Jen (Jerry) Dunk, Michelle (Mark) McLean, Ben, Eric, Mark and Nicole and great grandson Malcolm. Survived by brothers Stephen (Anne Marie) of Erin, David of Mexico, Owen (Kathy) of Wingham and Patrick (Mary) of Burlington. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Grace Curtis, brothers Peter and Mike and sisters Theresa Buchannan and Rosemary Bailey. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home 243 George St., Arthur on Wednesday September 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers were said in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Kenilworth on Thursday September 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Father Ed Curtis celebrated. Interment Sacred Heart R. C. Cemetery, Kenilworth followed.
