Orth, George Albert of Drayton passed away peacefully at Palmerston and District Hospital on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in his 78th year. Loving husband of Jean Orth (Musselman) for 57 years. Dear father of Barbara and her husband Brian Klein of Listowel, Doug Orth and his wife Debra of Kirkland Lake and David Orth and his wife Lisa of Kurtzville. Grandfather of Elizabeth Ernest (Bill) of Palmerston, Mike Klein (Rachael) of Abbotsford B.C.; Adam Orth (Melissa) of Kirkland Lake, Tanya Orth (Mike) of Timmins, Mandy Orth (Jeff) of Fordwich; William Orth and Dominique Orth both of Kurtzville. Great grandfather of Kentessa, Merissa and Quinten. Brother-in-law of Fred Musselman of Toronto, Earl Musselman of Alma and Jack Musselman of R.R.# 4 Arthur. Uncle of Jason and Pauline Musselman of Angus, Dwayne and Rachael Musselman of R.R.# 1 Mount Forest and Anita and Darryl Walker of Guelph. Predeceased by his parents Otto and Seleda (Heer) Orth and one nephew Shawn Musselman and sister-in-law Nancy Musselman. To honour George’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. The family received friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 12:30pm until time of Memorial Service at 2pm at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton. Rev. Jeff McCracken conducted the Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
