Northern Perth and Wellington Diabetes groups canvass made $55,146 in 2010

The volunteers at the North Perth – North Wellington Branch of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) are overjoyed with the abundance of support during last year’s Annual Residential Campaign.

A total of $55,146 was raised due to a wonderful leadership team of Chairman George Van Ankum, Campaign Convenors Irma Ternan and Alice Van Ankum, dedicated Team Captains and an array of 400 dedicated canvassers who found time to approach neighbours, friends, service clubs and businesses.

The Branch covers an area from Clifford to Alma and Dundalk to Mitchell. Canvassers knock on doors throughout towns and villages and along country roads.

The CDA’s mission is to lead the fight against diabetes by helping people with diabetes live healthy lives while working to find a cure.
