Bell Mobility antenna to be on water tower

Town council has unanimously passed an agreement with Bell Mobility that will pave the way for a new Bell antenna being placed on top of the town’s water tower.

The agreement will also provide for location of an Erin Radio antenna and possibly access for other cellular companies in the future.

Bell Mobility will pay the town $350 per month for the space – the rate will be adjusted accordingly over time depending on actual electricity consumption – which will go into the Erin water system account.

Water superintendent Frank Smedley told council he is satisfied with the agreement, which will provide good revenue for his department.
