Goin’ grainin’ is how 6-year-old Izak Wendover described vintage wheat harvesting.
That took place at Alex and Bob Wilson’s farm in Hillsburgh on the civic holiday weekend. The Wilson family and neighbours have been the backbone of the Steam Era’s grain threshing supply for some time now.
On Labour Day Weekend, it will be Steam Era’s 50th anniversary.
They invite everyone young and old to come and join the festivities.
