4-H Milk Club makes mac n”™ cheese and fudge

First Avery opened the meeting with the pledge and after we talked a bit about milk. Then we got to the cooking.

We started off making chocolate fudge and then we made mac n’ cheese, both homemade and Kraft Dinner. We compared the label nutritional value and taste between the homemade and Kraft Dinner.

The results were half liked Kraft Dinner best and half liked the homemade version better. We all agreed that the homemade version was likely healthier. After, we went to the barn to see how milk goes “from cow to kitchen” by seeing how the cows are milked, the bulk tank and how the milk truck picks up the milk and tests it every other day.

Then we went back in and talked about our homework and Avery closed the meeting with the motto. At the end, we ate the mac n’ cheese, fudge and the rice pudding (which I made before the meeting for people to try). Well, that’s all for today.
