Minto approves budget; typical tax hike is $104

MINTO - A typical residential tax bill in Minto will rise by about $104 in 2018. The overall tax rate, including Wellington County and education portions, increases about 3.6% for the average residential ratepayer or $104 annually. The town’s share of the increase is about $50, states treasurer Gordon Duff.

Crime of the Week

Sometime after midnight on March 25, someone stole a white 2017 Ford F150 pickup truck with tonneau cover from Wellington County Road 6. The truck, valued at over $45,000, may have hit a guardrail on Wellington Road 2 (across from the car wash at 4 Mill Street) in Clifford sometime between 12:30 and 1:30am on March 26.
