Accessibility event offers resources, products

KITCHENER

The Independent Living Centre of Waterloo Region hosts Access 2012, a two-day trade show featuring the best in accessible products and services for people with disabilities, seniors and field professionals.

The event runs Sept. 21 and 22 at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium’s Kiwanis Arena. Displays will include:

- accessible vehicles;

- assistive devices, including wheelchairs, scooters and walkers; and

- exhibits from organizations offering a variety of resources to help people live independently.

Access 2012 also offers a line-up of entertainment, headlined by Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Hines, who performs Friday evening at 7:30pm.   For information call 519-571-6788 or visit www.ilcwr.org.
