Water ban issued in Wellington North

KENILWORTH

Effective July 13, Wellington North has issued a total water ban on all non-essential use of outdoor water by municipal water customers.

This ban includes the watering of gardens, lawns, vehicle washing, filling of pools, hot tubs and garden ponds and all other non-essential use of water until further notice.

For further information, contact the Wellington North municipal office at 519-848-3620.

Water restrictions in Centre Wellington

Due to the extremely dry conditions in the area, Centre Wellington would like to remind all residents/businesses of the water restrictions which are in place.

Watering can occur on alternate days. Odd numbered addresses can water on odd numbered calendar days; even number addresses can water on even numbered calendar days.  Watering is only permitted between 5-7am and 7-10pm on the permitted day.

These restrictions apply to all outside use of water including lawn or garden watering, washing automobiles or filling swimming pools.  In-ground irrigation systems must abide by the same schedule.

The township is monitoring the water consumption daily and encourages residents/businesses to conserve if possible.
