Mayors breakfast set for Jan. 25

ELORA

The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce has announced the annual Mayor’s Breakfast, sponsored by OLG, will take place on Jan. 25 at 7:30am.

This year’s event is being held at the Grand River Raceway, upstairs in “The Captain’s Quarters.”

Chamber president Michael Weinstein has noted 2011 was a more challenging year for some local businesses.

“The Chamber and its members are looking forward to comments from the mayor regarding the township’s business direction in the coming years,” said Weinstein.

Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj’s presentation will be titled “Targets of Good Government.” Chamber officials bill the breakfast as a good opportunity to meet the mayor, councillors and senior staff and to network with business people in the community.

OLG officials say the corporation is proud to support this event, along with nearly 200 other events and festivals across Ontario each year.

Cost for the breakfast is $20 for members and $30 for future members. RSVP before Jan. 20th by calling 519-843-5140 or emailing membership@cwchamber.ca
