Morriston to host World Day of Prayer service

MORRISTON - A World Day of Prayer service will be held at the Morriston United Church on March 5 at 10:30 am.

Organizers are inviting everyone to attend the service and learn more about Cameroon and its unique culture and heritage.

Christians in more than 170 countries around the world and 2,000 communities across Canada will gather on the World Day of Prayer to pray and learn about the African nation’s intricate cultures and social challenges, including concerns about the exploitation of children and the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The Republic of Cameroon consists of more than 240 ethnic groups and languages. With a total surface area of more than 475,000 square feet, it is comparable in size to Papua, New Guinea or the state of California in the U.S.
