Hospice Wellington names new executive director

GUELPH - Hospice Wellington has a new executive director.

Pat Stuart began on Jan. 25.

Stuart is the recent recipient of the RNAO 150 Nurses across Canada, recognizing public advocacy and leadership in advancing a patient-centred approach to quality health care.

She began at Hospice Wellington in September 2012 as director of care and she has also been acting director.

“Pat’s career commitment to the important work of nursing, as well as a passion for all work in palliative care, has spanned several decades,” Hospice Wellington officials say.

“Pat states a strong commitment to leadership and team building that ensures excellence of care, and that same commitment remains evident in the work Pat has done on behalf of Hospice Wellington over many years.”
