Drinking and driving

PUSLINCH - On Dec. 17 at about 10:40pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Brock Road South near Cockburn Street here.

Police say officers spoke with a man driving a 2008 Toyota and conducted a roadside screening device test.

Daniel Brennan, 43, of Waterdown, was charged with driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system. He is to appear in Guelph court on Jan. 18.

PUSLINCH - On Dec. 17 at about 11:40pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Brock Road South near Wellington Road 34.

Police say officers spoke with a woman driving a 2016 Toyota and conducted a roadside screening device test.

Nancy Brettone-Westgarth, 28, of Kitchener, was charged with failing to provide a breath sample. She is to appear in Guelph court on Jan. 9.

In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
