Wins at Tae Kwon-Do tournament

FERGUS - A six member team of students from Centre Wellington Martial Arts Academy, located in Fergus, competed at the 2016 Erie Shores Invitational Tae Kwon-Do Tournament held in Leamington on Oct. 22.

This annual tournament features five events consisting of multiple divisions with over 150 competitors.

Team results:

- Ben Martin – 2nd in patterns, 2nd in sparring and 3rd in sword sparring;

- Breanna Mulligan – 2nd in patterns, 2nd in sword sparring and 3rd in sparring;

- Isabella Mitchell – 3rd in sword sparring;

- Jonathon Mulligan – 1st in patterns and 2nd in sword sparring;

- Louise Turner – 2nd in patterns and 2nd in sword sparring; and

- Nathan Brown – 1st in sword sparring and 3rd in sparring.
