Family Day Winter Classic Weekend

ABERFOYLE - The Optimist Club of Puslinch is planning its fourth annual Family Day Winter Classic Weekend February 13 to 15.

The weekend starts off with a “Four on Four Adult Hockey Tournament” at the rink on the Saturday and Sunday.

The cost of entry into the tournament is $495 per team.

Hot food and beverages will be available in the Puslinch Community Centre during the tournament.

Monday, Feb. 15, is the big day for kids of all ages.  

The Community Centre will be open from 10am on, with clowns, face painting and life sized board games during the day and special entertainment booked for everyone from 11am until noon.

Participaction Centres will be available for both outdoor  and indoor fun for the whole family. In the gym, there will be volleyball, dodgeball and basketball.

Outdoors there is skating, archery, giant slingshot, golf, human bowling and horse drawn sleigh rides.

Additionally there will be a fire department safety demonstration, large fire with live entertainment and a scavenger hunt.

All the Monday events and activities are free for everyone and the kids get free hotdogs and hot chocolate at lunch time in the community centre.

Additional hot food will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the hockey tournament and food sales will help fund the weekend.
